About The Design 

Savitribai Phule (1831–1897) was one of India’s first female teachers and a pioneer of girls’ education. In a society where educating women was considered rebellion, she chose to stand at the front of that rebellion.

She faced harassment.
She faced public humiliation.
She faced resistance daily.

And still, she walked miles to teach.

Her classrooms were not just buildings — they were beginnings.

The Unforgotten series exists to restore the names that built our present. To remind us that every freedom we enjoy today was once someone’s fight.

This design is a tribute to education as resistance.
